Dermaplaning facial

An exfoliating facial treatment that results in instantly more radiant and healthy-looking skin.  During a dermaplaning facial, we will place a small, sharp, and sterile blade on the face at a 45-degree angle. In gentle upward motions, to work to remove vellus hair (aka peach fuzz) and the top layer of dead skin build up.

This dual action will cause your skin care products to penetrate more easily and effectively and make up to go on more smoothly and evenly giving you that perfect canvas. Further, the treatment will continue working over the next few weeks to accelerate cellular turnover.

Dermaplaning is often recommended in conjunction with other skin treatments to optimize its exfoliating benefit for the skin. For example, a light peel, or a micro needling work well with this treatment.

Since this is a deeply exfoliating treatment, we recommend waiting at least a month between appointments.

  • can be performed prior to treatments like facials, laser, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels for better product penetration.
  • It can be performed frequently.
  • It helps makeup go on smoother and more evenly.
  • Suitable for Most skin types

Contrary to what you’ve been told, dermaplaning (and shaving!) will not make your hair grow back thicker or darker. once your hair begins to grow back, it might feel different because the hair was cut straight across, but it’s the same texture as it was before, and it will continue to grow at the same speed.

Dermaplaning is effective by performing a gentle scraping motion across the skin’s surface. With hair removal such as waxing and threading, most people have the idea that all hair removal is painful, but Dermaplaning is entirely painless.

Hyperkeratosis is a build-up of dead skin cells on the skin’s surface. By removing this initial layer, a chemical peel can penetrate deeper into the dermis resulting in a more effective treatment. The conjunction of dermaplaning and a chemical peel leaves the skin refreshed and rejuvenated. Together they promote new skin growth and target problems such as aging, sunspots and environmental damage.
