Henna Brows

Henna brows are a natural alternative to traditional eyebrow colouring. Traditional eyebrow tints are primarily made of chemicals while most henna brow products are made of natural plant-based ingredients including Lewsonia Insermis aka – henna, a flowering plant commonly used to dye skin, hair, and fingernails.

With a henna brow product, you are getting a product that is made with 75% plant-based ingredients, contains no lead or ammonia, is vegan-friendly, and requires no chemicals or oxidants to activate, only warm water.

What’s the difference between regular tint and henna brows?

Regular eyebrow tint will only tint the hairs and lasts anywhere from 2-4 weeks. It is great for those that are happy with their eyebrow shape and don’t require any other shaping.

Henna brows produce longer lasting results. Lasting up to 6 weeks on the hairs, it also tints the skin which is great if you would like a better shape to your brows.  It fills in anywhere you have gaps.

Patch test required.

Generally, Henna Brow lasts from four to six weeks. Depending on how well you look after your brows. After the four to six-week period.

The process itself takes around 45 minutes.

  • When making a booking for your henna brows you will be required to pop into the salon for a patch test this must be done 48 hours prior to your treatment.
  • Henna tint works best on the cleanest possible skin. It’s very good to softly exfoliate your brows on the run up to your appointment to help remove the dead skin cells this will enable the henna to really grab on to the skin.
  • Avoid fake tanning 3 days prior to the treatment this can alter the henna stain.
  • Do not rub the area treated.
  • Avoid heat treatments for 24 hours.
  • Do not apply brow make-up for at least 24 hours after your treatment.
  • Avoid sunbathing for 24 hours, as this can cause the tint to fade.
  • Swimming/saunas are to be avoided for at least 24 hours after your treatment.
  • No perfumed products for at least 24 hours after your treatment.
  • Please note that oil based make up remover can cause the tint to fade quicker.
  • Exposure to the sun/UV lights for long periods can cause the tint to fade quicker.
  • Use a clear brow gel or brow soap twice daily to help them stay put and adhere to the skin.
  • No self-tanning products to the area for 24 hours. Self-tanning products may alter the tint colour, so we recommend using these with caution around your brows.
